Concept of telemarketing holds good especially in case of medium or small size organizations. This is because such organizations have comparatively smaller budget to kick start their business.So, by adopting telemarketing as their marketing tool they are able to reach out to people directly through phone.

Comparatively, telemarketing provides more opportunities to reach out to people.This means, except for few crucial hours during the day like lunch time etc, one can make telemarketing calls to reach out to people and do our business.

These days, hectic lifestyle has made the life of common mass very tiring. They generally prefer spending a calm and relaxed weekends or holidays. In such cases, telemarketing acts as a boon. Without going out in market, telemarketing helps such consumers to know and buy the product or services of their choice at their convenience.

However, in spite of various advantages of telemarketing, it has its own limitations –

  • Direct face to face communication with consumers is more effective in cracking a deal.
  • In case of product selling, people generally prefer to see and feel the product. However, the same is not possible in case of telemarketing.
  • Getting through phone numbers can be difficult.
  • People generally do not take telemarketing calls very seriously and so ignore taking such calls.
