In the present environment, political and social dynamics are changing everyday and this changing dynamics is effecting the organizations at regular intervals.

Also, today it is not possible to for the organizations to hide any detail or changes or information from its wise set of variegated stakeholders, as complete transparency is essential to achieve credibility in the market.

Due to this visibility it has become important for the companies to maintain a balance and reduce the differences or gaps that exist between the policies formulated by the company and the expectations of the different stakeholders like customers, shareholders, etc. Hence, it has become important that proper issue management is exercised by the companies.

Before exercising proper issue management in a company, one should realize it’s relevance in the organization. Issue management mostly involves the usage of technology to mechanize the process so as to supervise business issues.

It can make one’s staff capable enough to deal with issues such that the management can assign specific responsibilities to its employees to deal with matters and can monitor the results of the actions taken to resolve the issues.

Issue management helps in identifying the gaps/ issues and understanding their impact on organization. It can be exercised by at first documenting the issue faced, in a formal manner, such that a team can be given the charge of identifying it and formally defining it. Also, one should be able to identify the nature of issue and classify it accordingly.

Secondly one should examine the availability of resources and alternatives so as to deal with the same and accordingly decide whether one should hire help from outside or should deal with it through available internal means.

Also, one should finalize upon the appropriate budget to be allocated to the task and the time that will be taken to complete the task. This should be followed by the execution of the solution finalized so as to resolve the issues.

Regular checking of the project, essential updating of facts and required rectifying measures should be taken by the team responsible for the same. The outcomes should be communicated to the team through different sources of communication like a report or mails or via meetings, etc.
