Customer is the King-Tips on How to Influence Them and Keep them Hooked
Customer is the king for any business. Whether you manufacture, a car, bike, shampoo, conditioner, goggles, chocolate, house or whether you provide any services such as legal, medical, customer is the be all and the end all of your existence in the business.
Thinking about customer is a must for any organization before doing anything or making any changes. Customer has the power to accept or reject whatever he likes or dislikes. Influencing your customers and getting them hooked on to your product is more of an art and cannot be done by any tom, dick or harry.
Following are the tips for influencing the customers:
Give them what they want:
The best way to influence customers is to give them what they want. You might come with a product, which looks good on the paper, but is it actually good and do customers actually need this product. Every company should ask these questions before launching any new product in the market. Do thorough market research, which will help you to find out the customer requirements or anything that will attract the customers at first go itself. Company makes the products for customers, but if the customers reject the product, it’s the end of the road for the company.
Build an instant connect with them:
Customers are generally influenced by the product, which they can easily relate to. Design your marketing or promotional campaign in such a way that will help you to build an instant rapport with the customers. For eg, an ad or print campaign showing mother bathing her small baby and singing lullaby for him, will find an instant connect with the female consumers. Customers are more often than not influenced by such emotional and true to life campaign.
Capitalize on the relationship built:
Many a times, a company aggressively promotes the new product in the market and once enough revenues are generated, they just forget and move ahead. However that should not be the case. A relationship with customers, once built will require nurturing on ongoing basis. It is not a one off thing, and needs to be capitalized on in order to retain the customers.
For e.g, Say, you have launched a body wash and have managed to attract the initial customers by aggressive promotional campaign. However, once you have attracted your target customer that is not the end of road for you. You need to carry on this relationship further by regularly advertising your product, coming up with new promotional offers now and then and so on.
Show them you care:
Show your customer that you care for them and their well being. For eg, if you provide legal services, show your clients that you care by taking care of their small needs. Consumers generally have a sensitive side and if you manage to ouch that chord, you sure shot will come out as a winner.
